The Lysefjord is located in Sandnes and Strand municipalities, Rogaland county, Fjord-Norway. The 42-kilometer-long fjord was originally a river valley, created by creeks and rivers eroding through an old plain landscape. Through a series of ice ages, this valley was carved out by moving glaciers and transformed into its current deep U-shape.
The aim of the festival is to gather people who like to walk and experience Lysefjorden together, in new ways. The Lieserpfad is considered one of the most beautiful hiking trails in the Eifel. It runs from Boxberg in the Vulkaneifel to the town of Lieser on the Moselle. A total length of approximately 74 kilometers.
The Lieserpfad follows the river Lieser, which rises in Boxberg and flows into Lieser on the Moselle. At the beginning, the Lieser is still a “narrow” stream, further on it becomes a river. The Lieserpfad is walked in 4 stages during this journey. The entire trip on the Lieserpad is extremely varied and leads along beautiful slopes with narrow paths, through forests over wider paths, bridges over the Lieser, steep slopes but also flatter parts.
The area is almost free of cars and railway lines. Beautiful nature and beautiful views guaranteed. You definitely have to climb a few times...

The Oberlausitzer Hunderter (OLH) is a traditional hiking event organized by the Wilthen local group of friends of nature. From year to year other routes are selected and offered to hikers who are interested. The spectrum ranges from beginner tours of 10-15km to long distances of around 100km.
This route is traditionally completed in 2 stages, always starting with the 50km night route, followed by the 50km day tour. The middle routes between 17 and 35 km in length are particularly popular with families. The walking festival, delivered by Far and Wild on behalf of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, offers a series of walks which will feature two grades of difficulty; a moderate 8km walk or a challenging 12km walk. The walks will be led by experienced guides beginning at the Gortin Glen Forest Park (Saturday) and An Creagán (Sunday) with transport being provided to the start of each walk.

Corwen sits with the whole Berwyn Mountain Ridge behind it and walks from the town itself can take visitors to Liberty Hall and on to the highest point in the Dee Valley and Clwydian Range 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty', Moel Fferna at 630 metres high. The Berwyn Ridge contains the peaks of Cadair Bronwen (784 m), Cadair Berwyn (827 m) and Moel Sych (827m).
Corwen makes a great base for walks on this vastly underrated range of mountains. In total, there are twenty four peaks over 600 metres high in the Berwyn Mountains.

Your Ben Nevis trek begins early as you head out at dawn, taking in the surroundings as you ascend this now ancient volcano, on whose summit you’ll often find patches of snow all year round.
You’ll follow in the footsteps of James Robertson, a botanist from Edinburgh, who was the first person to climb “The Ben" in August 1771, and in the company of your fellow trekkers you’ll reach the summit and claim victory standing at the highest point in the UK.

The North Kesteven Walking Festival is a celebration of the countless walking opportunities available within the district. Hundreds of walkers tied their laces and joined in last year for almost 200 miles of walking.
Walks will be scattered across North Kesteven’s 356 square miles of picturesque villages, medieval churches and thriving landscapes. With 94% of the district classified as green space you will explore rural towns full of history, arable land rich in wildlife and see why the area is favoured by many for exploration and outdoor adventures. A great place to walk together.
National Forest Walking Festival

Our annual Walking Festival will be based in the Somerset village of Stratton-on- the-Fosse which straddles the Fosse Way This ancient Roman Road linked the cities of Lincoln and Exeter. The countryside in this area is varied, with opportunities for quite gentle strolls as well as challenging walks. This is a free festival, no booking required!
