SUNDAY

Sunday morning there is the opportunity for Breakfast in FriluftsByn and it is usually a wonderfully nice relaxed hangout. At lunchtime you usually start rolling home. Others stay longer to see more of the High Coast.

IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER!
The most important thing to keep in mind is that you will be prepared by walking with a backpack and know how your equipment works and that you respect the regulations in the national park. Below you will find a little more information about what you should think about before, during and after the hike.

BEFORE THE HIKE

Review equipment and plan travel and accommodation. Many choose to camp in FriluftsByn Wed - Thurs to be on site in good time and participate in Förkvällen. You will receive food for the hike and a map when you check in at FriluftsByn on Wednesday evening or Thursday morning.

THE WALK
We take buses to the start and then you walk at your own pace to our common night camps. The trails are well marked and there are guides along the trail. It is important that you check in when you arrive at the Night Camp and check out when you leave the camp.

AFTER THE WALK
Finish takes place at the top of Skuleberget. Then we walk down to FriluftsByn for After-Hike. Tent pitch included Saturday to Sunday and in FriluftsByn there are plenty of showers and seating areas. Sunday is usually a wonderful day and breakfast can be bought in FriluftsByn.

BEFORE THE HIGH COAST HIKE

Most arrive on Wednesday to take part in the evening and have plenty of time to check in. Have plenty of time before the buses leave for the start on Thursday morning. The evening opens at 16:00 on Wednesday and we go through the map at 20:00.

IMPORTANT
You check in at FriluftsByn to pick up a map and food package.
Everyone takes a bus from FriluftsByn on Thursday morning.
Be there well in advance.
The hike ends at FriluftsByn. There are adjacent car parks where you can have your car parked during the hike.

MAP REVIEW
We will go through the map and other information in the facebook group: High Coast Hikers >> we will also go through everything you need to know before the adventure at 20:00 during Wednesday night.

LUGGAGE

BUSES TO THE START
Buses to the start of Original leave at 08:00 and 08:30. We fill the buses then they leave. Bus to the Pleasure route departs at 08:00. Be there well in advance.

UNDER THE HIGH COAST HIKE

You walk at your own pace to the day's night camp where you check in upon arrival. You get all the food at check-in but bring the equipment you need yourself. Open-air schools and seminars are arranged at Nattläger Tärnättholmarna, Kälsviken and Nattläger Dal. You fill up with water along the trail.

IMPORTANT
You check in at every night camp.
You have plenty of time but you must leave the night camp no later than 10:00 on Friday and 09:00 on Saturday morning.

THE STAIRS
The hike follows well-marked paths with clear signage. You will receive a map when you check in where you can draw how you plan to hike - Original or Pleasure. During the hike you will encounter guides and officials at checkpoints who can answer questions. You can also ask other hikers.

SECURITY
There will be guides out in nature and at night camps. However, this is not a guided hike where you go with your own guide. We think it is more fun to stroll at your own pace and with those you want. At check-in you get a number to the secretariat and in case of emergency you call 112. You have the first band yourself.

WATER
During the map review, we will tell you where to find water along the trail. You should carry about three liters of water with you. Those who live in the area drink water from running streams, but as an organizer of this type of adventure, we must recommend you to boil the water in the forest. Water levels in streams depend on the weather of recent weeks.

CHECKPOINTS
When you reach the night camps you check in the guides and when you leave the next morning you check out. If you do not check in, we will first search the tent camp and if we do not find you organize a bald walk. So remember to check in and check out at night camps.

TENTING SITES
During the High Coast Hike we live in common night camps. It is not allowed to camp in a place other than those areas. The first overnight stay takes place at Tärnättholmarna and the second in the fields at Dal, in the middle of the forest. This creates a wonderful atmosphere and community.

TOILETS
There is an outdoor toilet along the trail and at the night camps. You will see them on the map. Use these but bring your own toilet paper.

HEATING
It is allowed to make fires in designated places. In these places there is also firewood. You must not take sticks from the forest or make a fire other than in the designated places.

DEBRIS
Everything you take with you on the High Coast Hike, you will fit in the pack back to FriluftsByn. You must not throw rubbish along the trail, so bring a rubbish bag for empty food bags and other rubbish.

AFTER THE HIGH COAST HIKE

The finish line of Höga Kusten Hike takes place at the top of Skuleberget where most people relax at Toppstugan and applaud the other participants. Most people choose to walk the Höga Kusten Stigen or down the service road by the cable car down to FriluftsByn. You can also take Skuleberget's Cable Car until 16:00. After-Hike starts at 16:00.
