If you love walking in the great outdoors, socialising with loved ones, eating and drinking delicious produce and supporting local businesses, then this event is perfect for you!
You will embark on a 7.5 mile walk that will include three stop offs, where you will enjoy a tasty course made with ingredients sourced from the local area.
It will be the perfect opportunity to take in beautiful views across Ellesmere, whilst keeping active and supporting Shropshire’s food and drink producers. There’s no catch!
We want the Tasty Trail to be fun for all, which is why we’re lining up live music along the way!
The walk will be suitable for all fitness levels (but please be aware that there may be hills) and it will be an enjoyable, community-spirited event for families, friends, loved ones and work mates.
Conquer a seven and a half mile walk, eat delicious food and drink, enjoy all that Ellesmere scenery has to offer.
Shropshire Tasty Trail is happening on the private land of Oteley Estate, Ellesmere on Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th April 2022.
This 7.5 mile walk takes you across the stunning North Shropshire countryside, where you will stop for three different courses - starter, main and dessert. We're all about muddy footprints, not carbon ones, so everything you eat and drink on the Shropshire Tasty Trail will be from local producers.
Following on from your 7.5 mile walk, you'll be able to enjoy exclusive access to the Oteley Estate gardens, that aren't normally open to the public. The Stable Yard will be filled with some of the local producers that tickled your tastebuds during your mile walk, as well as refreshments and seating.
On arrival at Oteley Estate, you will receive a glass tankard that you can use at each stop for a cheeky tipple, and a map that will guide you on your 7.5 mile walk through Oteley's private estate.
Along the way, you will have incredible views across the North Shropshire countryside, until you reach your three stops, where we will have a starter, main, and dessert, and some live music to make sure you don't lose that motivation...
Each stop will have both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options, as well as dispensers to fill up water bottles - walking is thirsty work!
Your four-legged friends are more than welcome to come along, but they will need to be kept on their leads at all times, this is a private estate, and you might just meet some of the local farm animals on the way! Please be aware, there are a few stiles on the walk that you will have to carry your dog over.
Parking for the event is free and will be on Oteley Estate, Ellesmere.
Everything you eat and drink on Shropshire Tasty Trail will be produced in the local area - we're all about reducing those carbon footprints!

Your three-courses will be from Su Casa, Brooklands Diary, and The Gourmet Brownie Company.
Oteley Estate will be providing us with their super local Oteley Beef and Pork, which is hand-reared on the estate you'll be walking on - how's that for low food miles!

Tickets are priced at just £33.95 per person, which includes admittance to the walk, a locally sourced three course meal along the trail, and a different alcoholic drink at each stop.
