Welcome to our walking festival website, we hope you find the information you need. We offer 60 free walks in the beautiful surroundings of this unique UNESCO World Heritage site, traditionally starting on the first Saturday of the May Day Bank Holiday. Come and see the Iron Bridge in all its splendour and whether you join us for one walk or 9 walks, walking across it will always be a special moment.

For all walks, walking boots/shoes are essential
Carry sufficient water for the length of the walk
Carry both sun protection and wet weather protection
Take high energy snacks or, for longer walks, more substantial meals
Your safety is important to us and to ensure that you have the most enjoyable experience on our walks, please take note of the following guidance.
In the interest of the safety of all our walkers, walk leaders will exercise their right to refuse to take walkers who are ill-equipped.
Timing
Please arrive at the meeting point at least 10 minutes before the start of each walk. Walks will commence at the given time, and unfortunately, we are unable to wait for any late arrivals.
Dogs
Due to the amount of livestock in the Gorge and surrounding areas dogs are NOT permitted on walks unless specifically marked with the symbol shown. The walk leader may restrict the number at the start of the walk, if they consider it to be appropriate for the safety of other walkers.
COVID-19
Any COVID-19 precautions will be taken in accordance with the current Government guidelines, therefore the committee may have to alter numbers and routes at short notice.
