The Seefeld region with its five towns of Seefeld , Leutasch , Mösern, Reith and Scharnitz attracts hikers from all over the world. The special location on a high plateau at over 1,200 m and the around 650 hiking and mountain kilometers transform the region into a true hiking Mecca .
Surrounded by the impressive Wetterstein Mountains, the Karwendel Nature Park and the Wildmoos conservation area, the south-facing high plateau is the perfect base camp for hikers and nature lovers.
In the middle of the idyll there is a worldwide tradition and a jointly organized hiking highlight: the 22nd 3-day unicorn march . With start and finish in Leutasch, the march leads along the most beautiful places in the region. Unique landscape experiences, cozy places to stop and warm hosts make this global phenomenon an unforgettable highlight, where fun and team spirit are the top priorities.

On Friday, first day of IML Walking Association walk, there are 10, 20, 30 and 42 km routes. The 10 km and 20 km bring you to Reindlau and Unterkirchen. The 30 km and 42 km go to Mittenwald, Scharnitz. The 30 km goes up the hill "Hoher Sattel" and back to the start. The 42 km goes over the mountain hut ”Triendlsäge”, Katzenkopf and Obern back to the start.

On Saturday, second day, there are also 10, 20, 30 and 42 km routes. The 10 km goes throug the “Fludertal” up to the top of the “Katzenkopf”, along the lake “Weidachsee” back to the start. The 20 km and 30 km routes lead first to Neuleutasch. The 20 km route goes to the mountain hut “Wildmoosalm”, Katzenkopf, and Obern, then along the river back to the start. The 30 km passes Seefeld, then continues to Mösern, Lake Lottensee and Wildmoossee towards Buchen and finally over Moos, Obern, Klamm, Plaik and Kirchplatzl back to the start. The 42 km follows the way to Neuleutasch, forest Bauernwald, Schlossberg, then on to Seefeld. From Seefeld it continues to Reith and Mösern. The way back ist he same than the 30 km route (see above).

On Sunday, third day, there are also 10, 20, 30 and 42 km routes.
This day is certainly the most beautiful day of hiking. Here the routes 20 km, 30 km and 42 km lead to the hiking paradise “Gaistal”. The routes of 10 km, 20 km and 30 km follow the way to the forest above Ostbach, Platzl and Aue, then via “Lake Weidachsee” back to the start. The 42 km route goes to Buchen, Lake Lottensee, Wildmoossee, mountain hut Wildmoosalm, then over the top of the hill Katzenkopf back to the start.
