Walking, watching, listening and experiencing in the setting of beautiful nature; that's the Pegasus Walking Festival!
With the combined forces of music and theatre, we are creating a new eventful cultural festival concept on three walking routes, which we regard as our stage, around the meaning and invaluable value of freedom. At the same time, we allow our audience to take a walking time journey that takes them from the impressive history from then to now. The walking festival tells, moves, surprises, makes you quiet and makes you laugh!
The Pegasus Walking Festival consists of three walking routes through a landscape full of stories. Stories about war and the road to freedom. Along the way, the walkers are surprised by cultural interventions. Theatrical, musical and artistic events on the routes that bring heritage and history to life and make you think about freedom then and now.
The Airborne-Ede month will be concluded with a special closing concert by Ellen ten Damme, Vincent Bijlo and the Konrad Koselleck Big Band after the Pegasus Wandelfestival. Tickets are sold separately for this.
You can walk the routes as fast or slow as you like. Choose a distance that works for you and your fellow hikers.

To end the Airborne-Ede month in a special way, we would like to tell one last story about freedom, together with none other than singer Ellen ten Damme, storyteller Vincent Bijlo and the Konrad Koselleck 'storytelling' Big Band!
In 2018 they already managed to impress the public with the impressive performance 'The Concert to End All Wars' in the Mauritskazerne. This time we welcome them for an open-air concert at the Akoesticum festival site and the Pegasus Wandelfestival.
Konrad Koselleck and Vincent Bijlo can connect the local to the (inter)national like no other and, together with the enchanting voice of Ellen, they take you through the deep valleys of the war, on the way to musical highlights with freedom on the horizon.
Be surprised by the artistic spectacle on stage between singer Ellen, narrator Vincent, conductor Konrad and the musicians of the big band, and come to the closing concert of the Airborne Ede month at Akoesticum!
