Walking is an activity everyone can do together. From its outset, the Canberra Two-Day Walk has provided the platform for a healthy bonding experience for the entire family.
The two-day walk is not a timed event with winners and losers. It is a challenge for all ages and can be a fabulous bonding experience for family members from grandparents to grandchildren.

A full lap of Lake Burley Griffin with a couple of minor detours to make up 42.2km for your Marathon award.
The first half of the Marathon around the central and eastern basins of Lake Burley Griffin.
A pleasurable paved walk that includes walking past the memorials on both sides of Anzac Parade.

Milestone Dates
The 2022 Peace Dinner and art auction is a fundraiser to be held the Southern Cross Club in aid of Give Every Child a Future.
The closing of this event will signify the opening of Earlybird entries for the 2023 Rotary Aussie Peace Walk.
We have to make calculations about the number of medals to make, how many volunteers we might need etc., so entries open with a special discounted early bird rate. This helps us gauge how much interest there is in the event.
The discounted price is your reward for making the commitment early.
The important date when the earlybird prices are replaced with standard pricing. If you didn’t get the earlybird discount this year, keep an eye out for next year’s early entry offers.
This is the cut-off date for entering the 2023 Rotary Aussie Peace Walk at standard rates.
A late fee will apply for entries after this date.
Event packs will be available for collection from Albert Hall on Friday 24th, March 2023, between 12 noon and 6:30 pm.
Please try to collect your pack on Friday to make it easier for busy volunteers on Saturday morning.
The opening ceremony will begin at 5:00 pm in Nara Park at the Canberra Rotary World Peace Bell.
The Saturday walks will begin at 7:30 am with the marathon, followed by the 21k, 12k and 7km events. All times and maps are on the Saturday event page.
Walkers are encouraged to join volunteers for an casual social evening.
Sunday walks start with the 24km event at 8 am, followed by the 12k and the 7km. See the Sunday program for all route maps and start times.
We will hold a closing ceremony at Albert Hall to present some special awards and announce a few prize winners.
The fundraising site will stay live for one month after the event for participants to do some last-minute fundraising and collect all money pledged in support.
We will announce the fundraising award winner.
The Aussie Peace Walk will be held on the last weekend in March and comprises seven walking events over two days.
To gain an achievement medal, participants must complete one walk on each day.
The 2023 event is again being held in aid of another Rotary community health project.
