Elba Walking Festival

On the occasion of the Spring Festival Legambiente Arcipelago Toscano will propose an event on migratory birds: extraordinary animals, capable of traveling thousands of kilometers to protect the future of their species, which find in our islands an important resting and refreshment point. The day will also be dedicated to the characteristic insects of the area. Guided tour of the wetland of Mola and workshop.

Trekking along the farm roads that run through the Lacona plain, until you reach the sanctuary of Madonna della Neve. Stopping in a clearing, we will gather in a circle for a mindfulness practice, led by the instructor Antonella Vitacca. Listening to our breath we will be able to get back in touch with our body, with our emotions and with the sounds and smells of nature, giving us an extraordinary experience of presence in the here and now.

Trekking with snack to discover the Taste Path starting from the Casa Parco in Rio nell'Elba, an ancient mining town of medieval origin and going into the historic Valle dei Mulini: along the path it is possible to see the remains of some of the 22 mills and their bottacci thanks to the availability of irrigation in the area, the tradition of exploiting bottacci for the cultivation of family gardens has been preserved. Stop at the La Lecciola agritourism and meeting with the producers to deepen the theme of the "Germplasm Bank".
