We are once again proclaiming the month of April the Red Cross Blossom Month ! This time you are most welcome in the beautiful Betuwe! We have created six brand new routes along the most beautiful spots in the Betuwe. The routes vary in distance from 5 to 40 kilometers.
The routes lead past orchards in full bloom, rustic farms, green fields and cheerful places to relax. This way you get to know the splendor of the Betuwe in a new way. A pleasure to walk in the spring sun. All easily accessible from the stations of Geldermalsen and Beesd. Taste the atmosphere of the Betuwe.
During the Red Cross Blossom Month you can walk one or more routes whenever you want. The routes are all freely accessible and pass through various orchards. There are NO route signs along the road. So check the map regularly.
?You can come to Geldermalsen or Beesd Stations by train or car and start walking from there. There are few parking spaces at Station Beesd, so we recommend that you park at the Stapelbakker on Landgoed Mariënwaerdt. When you return, you can relax there with a cup of coffee, sandwich or pancake.
?Always follow the traffic rules on the road, respect nature and throw your waste in the bin.
The Netherlands is known for its many types of fruit. From apples to cherries; they are all grown in the Netherlands. The blossom marks the start of the new growing season, an important moment for all fruit growers. Blossom not only creates a beautiful image, each blossom bud eventually becomes a delicious fruit.

The Red Cross Blossom Tour can only be successful thanks to the help of more than 500 volunteers. They are active on the day itself to ensure that everything runs smoothly. A total of 80 volunteers are active in the preparation phase, or in organizing the event.
