Vale Trails Walking Festival

Each weekend during the month of May, you will be led on a series of walks, 5 inland and 5 coastal trails exploring the Vale of Glamorgan, led by your guide Chris Jones. Along the way you will be met by interesting characters who will tell you tales of time gone by, visit some amazing places as you pass by on your walk, be joined by local historians who will share stories of local folklore and sample some great local delicacies in the many pubs and café’s you will discover en-route.

Geofest (Fforest Fawr Geopark Festival)

Fforest Fawr UNESCO Global Geopark is set within the Brecon Beacons National Park in south Wales. It comprises the western half of the National Park, stretching from Llandovery in the north to the edge of Merthyr Tydfil in the south, from Llandeilo in the west to Brecon in the east. Fforest Fawr UNESCO Global Geopark aims to promote the wider understanding of the area’s heritage – not just geological, but other aspects of its natural history and the wider cultural heritage – and to encourage the development of sustainable tourism based upon that heritage for the benefit of both residents and visitors to the area.

Corwen Walking Festival

Corwen sits with the whole Berwyn Mountain Ridge behind it and walks from the town itself can take visitors to Liberty Hall and on to the highest point in the Dee Valley and Clwydian Range 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty', Moel Fferna at 630 metres high. The Berwyn Ridge contains the peaks of Cadair Bronwen (784 m), Cadair Berwyn (827 m) and Moel Sych (827m). Corwen makes a great base for walks on this vastly underrated range of mountains. In total, there are twenty four peaks over 600 metres high in the Berwyn Mountains. With cafes and restaurants, hotels, guest houses, caravan parks and campsites all within close proximity and with some of the best walks in the land, we assure you that both the welcome and the countryside will ensure that you return to Corwen again and again.

Gower Walking Festival

With a wide range of walks over spectacular coastline and countryside of Gower and Swansea. Walks are graded on duration and difficulty, so appealing to walkers of all ages and abilities. Experienced volunteers lead the walks, some of whom are experts in geology, history, birdlife and other Gower interests. This is truly the best way to visit the UK’s first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Vale of Glamorgan Walking Festival

The Vale of Glamorgan situated on the coast between the Gower and Cardiff, offers many varied walking routes. The Vale, as it's known locally, includes the southernmost point of mainland Wales, fertile rolling countryside and the dramatic Heritage Coast, with towering cliffs and remote beaches. During the Vale of Glamorgan Walking Festival,  you can enjoy a spectacular variety of walks for all levels, discovering a maze of footpaths, country lanes, historic villages and churches, along with fine dining and country inns.

Barmouth Walking Festival

Set in the dramatic beauty of coastal Snowdonia, Barmouth sits on the northern side of the stunning Mawddach Estuary, sheltered by the Rhinog Mountains and the Cadair Idris Range. The Walking Festival has been developed with the aim of encouraging visitors to explore these magnificent surroundings on foot – in the company of keen, experienced and knowledgeable local guides. Historians and naturalists lead some walks and expert advice has been taken to ensure a safe, interesting and varied programme.

Chepstow Walking Festival

Fantastic walks of all shapes and sizes, plus events and a chance to see Chepstow and the Lower Wye Valley at its Spring finest! After so much enforced downtime we can't wait to return to our regular Easter slot and get out into the wonderful Wye Valley. Our walk leaders are raring to go and have offered such an amazing selection of routes and options that the programme is the best yet.

Talgarth Walking Festival

Talgart Walking Festival offers walks which guide you through the local history, geology, literature and nature. Explore the area with our knowledgeable leaders who will take you on journeys through the landscape from the wooded dingles to the Black Mountains plateau. The Festival Hub will be based at the Shade Garden, a new installation by the Grow for Talgarth group. This group of enthusiastic gardeners has transformed Talgarth with flower beds and planters to such an extent that the town was awarded a Gold Medal in the Wales in Bloom 2021 competition. It will be the place to check out late availability on walks, and meet off duty walk leaders.

Prestatyn & Clwydian Range Walking Festival

The festival is the perfect way to get back out and explore the outstanding landscapes of north-east Wales. Meet with friends or make new ones, the friendly and relaxed environment is a great way to get socialising again in a safe and welcoming space. Whether you are a seasoned walker or looking for something new,you can meet for walks from moderate, shorter routes with some inclines, to longer routes that are harder and will provide more of a challenge. The walks will be led by friendly, experienced and trained walk leaders.
