This year the Slieve Bloom Walking Club celebrates it’s 26th year with a wide variety of walks. The festival starts on Saturday April 30th and finishes on Monday May 2nd. The festival offers a choice of woodland walks, riverside and gentle rolling hills with experienced walk leaders who will enhance your hike with stories of local history, geology and fauna. Registration takes place at Kinnitty Community Centre on Saturday at 10.30am, Clonaslee Community Centre on Sunday at 10.30am and Monday at Deadmans in Ballyfin Co Laois on Monday at 11am. Fee for festival walks €8.00 per walk or €20 for the weekend (this also includes annual membership). Please wear appropriate clothing and walking boots. There is usually a stop along the way for lunch so it is a good idea to take a packed lunch with you
