The Otley Walking Festival has walks for all ages and abilities. They include short town centre walks, themed walks, gentle strolls and strenuous moorland hikes.
Each day of the festival there is a choice of walks which take place from morning to nightfall. So whatever your walking ability and interests you will easily be able to find something to suit you.
With 52 walks and events, there’s really has been something for everyone. Favourites like the Six Dales Trail, Wayzgoose Weave, Despicable Liars, Birdsong Walk. New themed walks –– Four More Pubs, Fresh Perspectives, Railway Pioneers, Where to Watch Wildlife in Otley, Wild Flower Walk – too many to mention!
An overriding principle of Otley Walking Festival is that all walks and events should be free at point of entry unless there are costs, such as entrance fees, minibus hire etc, to be covered – all of which are indicated on the programme. The Festival is supported by our programme sponsors – Bondgate Bakery, BACKCOUNTRYUK and Yorkshire Water – and by Otley Town Council and Leeds City Councillors for Otley & Yeadon. Local businesses support the Festival through generous donations.
Thanks to the great team of volunteer walk leaders who give their time and expertise for the Festival; our financial sponsors – BACKCOUNTRY UK, Bondgate Bakery, Leeds City Council, Otley Town Council, and Yorkshire Water; and to local businesses who donated prizes for our raffle.
